Jimmy Fleming is a composition specialist for Bedford/St. Martin’s, an imprint of Macmillan Learning.   Beginning in 1983, he has been a sales rep, a sales manager, and an editor.  His current role takes him to writing programs across the country to meet with instructors of all definitions – program administrators and course directors, writing center staff and tutors, graduate students and adjuncts. He is most engaged by talking with teachers whose research, insights, and best practices in writing instruction and student learning can inform Bedford’s publishing program in composition.  Before joining Bedford/St. Martin’s, Jimmy worked as a reporter and at a literary agency.
