Jennifer Ringo is a Training Specialist for the UM Writing Project. Since 2013, she has helped lead the site’s work for the National Writing Project’s College, Community, and Career Writers Program (C3WP), partnering with high-needs school districts. The program provides embedded and sustained professional development designed to improve teachers’ practice in the teaching of academic, source-based writing. In 2002, she left a soulless career in corporate America, moved to the Mississippi Delta, and became an English teacher. She taught high school English for ten years in Clarksdale, where she still resides.
